We knew we might have to worry about kitty biting baby...

...but who thought we'd have to stop the baby from biting the cat?

While Pumpkin likes to keep his distance from baby James and his grabby hands, Shayna plays 'lil mama and keeps a close eye on her boy. James loves it when she comes over to say "Hi" and looks for her when she wanders out of his sight. Sometimes though, I'm truly amazed at the abuse she tolerates! On several occasions now, she'll be laying on the bed where I like to put James down after his bath to get him dressed for bed. He rolls over on her, pokes and smushes her with knees and elbows, sits on her, grabs and pinches her...and just last night, he bit her! Granted, he still doesn't have teeth. But, really?!? To her credit, she doesn't make a peep about it (though she did choose to relocate when he gave her a chance to get away!)
