Here at Decker Chronicles, July is the neverending month o'birthdays. (Shout outs to Mark, Jesse, Grandad, Zak, James, Granny and Grandpa - in that order.)
For Mark's birthday we went out for supper to Biergarten Haus on our local H St strip. James' is clearly in touch with his German heritage, since he ate nearly half of my sausage sampler with potato cakes.
We celebrated our house (and James' birthday) with a 100+1 themed barbeque on July 10th with many family, friends an neighbors. On Saturday the family reconvened in Oakton for the 3G party celebrating James, Mark and Grandpa. Then, on the 13th (James' actual birthday) we took him to Boogie Babes which was hosting a special kids music event at our local watering hole, Toyland - followed by dinner out at Ethiopic (not a hit with the birthday boy, unfortunately.)
Gotta love this video of James digging in to a chocolate ice-cream cake at Grandpa and Glamma's!

The following weekend we went to the birthday pool party of James' daycare BFF, Jesse. On Sunday (post yard frolicking) James, Sarah and I took Grandpa to PF Chang's for his birthday.

Looks like I left a little too early! Chocolate cakes and first birthdays go together. I'm going to dig out Mark's first birthday photos of same!
