This weekend we visited with our friends Som and Arezou for the first time in ages...we saw their spacious new house, their sweet pooch, Lady, and their 2 month old pride and joy, Melody. James wasn't so taken with his new friend (give it time - she's going to be a real heartbreaker!) but really enjoyed playing with the dog (who generously provided both entertainment and clean-up services for the duration of the visit). Melody is just a beautiful, smiling little girl. Congratulations, Saadat family!
The next day we met up with 3 families from our birth class for a reunion of sorts. A little pool time, a couple of margaritas, and some grilled food with the toddlers. It's been such fun to see the little ones go from baby bumps to real individuals. James, Walker and Peter vied for Sasha's attention...and possession of the toy cell phone. Fun was had by all; we're already talking about putting another BBQ on the calendar.
