A Pumpkin Playground - Halloween 2010 Installment I

On Thursday, James and I took the afternoon off and met Aunt Sarah for a trip to the Burke Nursery pumpkin patch.  We decided to give James' costume a test run, so we pulled it on over his clothes and let him loose.  I can't even describe how adorable he was walking around completely oblivious to the giraffe suit he sported.  This place was GREAT!  There were all kinds of wooden structures - castle, pirate ship, fire truck, and more - to climb in and slide down.  Carpet slides were streaming from tall mounds of built-up earth.  Swings and other "traditional" play equipment was available on the perimeter.  And farm animals were on display - goats, sheep, bunnies, and poultry of all desscriptions.  As the sun set, we each enjoyed a hot dog and some apple cider.  Thank you, Sarah - please invite us back next year!

Hmmm...how can I get up THERE?

Sirens don't even phase him any more.

Ride 'em cowboy!  Finally caught a squirrel.

Look ma, no hands!  Brave squirrel rider.
