Hodge Podge

Coverage of the last weeks worth of activity has been spotty at best.  Last weekend we went to the Natural History Museum again...this time with Glamma and Grandpa (we took turns watching the awesome IMAX 3D movie about the Grand Canyon) - who took James through the live butterfly exhibit. That evening we hit the town for a neighborhood Hannukah party and on Sunday we made a quick outing of visiting the train display and the Christmas tree in Union Station. We really need to brainstorm some fun indoor activities for the winter; James just turns devilish when he's cooped up in the house for too long.

Tuesday we attended the new Harris Teeter grand opening event - nothing like free snacks and balloon tricks to keep both of my boys happy!  James' Elmo balloon hat didn't last long enough to get any good pictures.  Into this mix comes reading time, sweater debuts (brrrrr!  it's been cold!), and a Hannukah gift from Grandpa and Glamma that takes up the whole living room...

Watching the toy train display with Daddy.
In front of the Christmas tree with Mommy.
The tree in all its glory.

James and the kitties love this tent from Grandpa & Glamma.
Peekaboo!  The tunnel is the best part.
