At long last, our friends Nick, Bethany and little Ellena were able to visit. Ellena is just a few months younger than James but our families have been so busy since the kids were born that we haven't had a chance to meet.
Our guests arrived on Friday afternoon, and after a brief time to settle in, Aunt Sarah came to watch the kids so the adults could go over to Taylor's apartment for a long awaited Chez T-Bone party. Alas, we couldn't stay too late since we had to let Sarah get home...a blessing, actually, since the kid's wake so early.
After some breakfast at home, we packed up for the Splash Park at Yards Park. Taylor and the Gajowski's (also in town for the weekend) met us out for some splish splash and we all went our separate ways for lunch and naps. We prioritized a solid nap on Saturday, since we were planning on taking all 4 kids to a baseball game on Saturday night! It was ambitious, but the kids handled themselves unexpectedly well! We made it through the 7th inning before battling the crowded metro trains home. After a few drinks, Taylor and the Gajowski's left for Ballston and we turned in for the night.

Sunday morning we got up, fed the kids and went over to the Arboretum to wear Ellena out for the ride back to Pittsburgh. Feeding the koi was a big hit, and we wandered the paths through the Bonsai displays and the herb gardens before setting up a picnic lunch. James gave great big hugs to everyone as we said our goodbyes.

To his surprise, when James woke from his nap, Oma had come by for a quick visit on her way through town. We had a nice dinner while watching a new Thomas video and then got ready for bed and the new week.
