Our first priority Saturday morning was the Lewes Farmer's Market Tomato Festival, where we tasted dozens of varieties. By chance we found a big red tractor just outside the market! On our way home we stopped to visit the farm at Dawn's Market, just across from Oma's house. James loves to feed the chickens and check out the cow, pig, goats, bunnies...but maybe most of all he likes to explore the old miscellany in the big red barn. But our day wasn't done yet! We also went to the Dogfish Head brewery and stopped in at the Milton Fun Day fair. They had school buses and tractors that James could climb in, hot dogs for lunch, and a little train that went round and round the park.
On Sunay we tried out the Cape Helopen park beach. It was overcast and windy, but James got his feet wet and played in the sand. When it started to rain, we visited the nature center and checked in on the sea horses, fish, and horseshoe crabs on display.
Monday we had a wonderful dinner party after spending a few hours on the beach at Rehoboth.
And on Tuesday, we had dinner at the Dogfish Head Brew Pub and played at Fun Land before loading up for the drive home.
James has really started to remember his experiences and he talks about going back to Oma's house all the time. I think he had a good trip!

Oma gets exhausted just watching the video! What a fun time we all had! Oma loves having James and mommy and daddy visit!
ReplyDeleteI especially liked how James handed the man his ticket to ride. Such a big boy!
