Zoo Baby



Mark has always wanted to take James to the zoo and has tenaciously protected his position as the FIRST to introduce him to this DC institution. James and I almost went without him (much to his disappointment) but plans fell through...but when daycare announced plans to take the kids next week, Mark jumped into gear to be first in line...

Saturday was a really warm day, so the zoo was crowded and the strollers couldn't maneuver well in the animal houses (they weren't really allowed inside anyway...) so we targeted the large outdoor animals - the elephants, some monkeys, the pandas.

It was a quick trip, but just the first of many, I'm sure.

    I always loved the zoo. I'm glad Mark inherited that trait! Hope I get to go with James too! : )

    The National Zoo is under some tremendous renovations that currently make only one north-south route available (and crowded). I am excited for the time when the renovation is complete and there is a 'full-run' available.
