Whoa, blizzard!!!

On Friday, December 18th, it started to snow...and boy, did it SNOW! By the next day, we had accumulated about 18". Being from a little farther south, I have rarely seen this much snow - it was a-mazing. Washington DC was nearly brought to a standstill while we all watched the big flakes cover everything in a thick, white blanket.

So...stuck indoors for the weekend, we happened upon a favorite pastime - a photo shoot, starring baby James! He wears a number of outfits for the camera:
Santa Baby, suit provided by Granny, posed in the living room on a festive back drop

Ho Down Jimmy, original baby couture by Granny, circa 1979 (worn by several Ness children), posed in the family room on a backdrop of denim and neutrals with Sophie the giraffe

Great Scot!, baby vintage circa 1982 (debuted by Uncle Zak), posed in the spare bedroom with a back drop of reds and blues

Since James can sit by himself for a few moments at a time, it's much more fun to prop him up and go to town!

After being trapped at home all day, we ventured out into the falling snow to visit with Tim, Susan, and Reagan a few blocks away. (Thank you for the snowsuit, Grandma IJ!)
