Yesterday James turned 6 months old! It's hard to believe how fast these months have raced past - from bringing home that helpless little (screaming) newborn to our thriving, laughing self-sitter! We arranged a small family "celebration" of the milestone, just the 3 of us, with a few new treats for James - Mark came home early for some family time before James went to bed, James got to play with (eat?) a teething biscuit while I tried to feed him sweet potatoes with his metal baby flatware spoon (for the first time.) The birthday meal was followed by a bath, naked tummy-time (now punctuated by efforts at creeping), and to bed by 8:00 per our usual routine.
The passing of the half-way mark makes me wonder what our Sweet Baby James will be like in another 6 months - through crawling, walking, teething and moving past milk and baby food to real grown up fare. The adventure continues!
