Odd and Ends

We've stayed busy for the last few weeks, but it's been a banal kind of busy.  The weekend after Valentine's we went to Sarah and Matt's Johnson/Decker party.  Then last weeked, Sarah and Matt babysat for James so that we could attend the annual Starwood Hotels' black tie Academy Award party.  We failed spectacularly to photo-document any of these events...however, Mark has been traveling for work this week and I've captured some photos and videos of everyday moments to share with him.

Also newsworthy:  James is learning by leaps and bounds.  We're amazed at the number of new words and imitated sounds James demonstrates each day.  He also is playing pretend with dolls and his toy kitchen, and seems to be mastering his shape sorter.  He always chooses the oval, circle, square, and octagon first - and he usually chooses the right place to put them.  He also loves to count to 10 (he's almost got 1-2-3 down) and to sing the alphabet song, even though he doesn't know all the "words" yet.
