This weekend we tried to take James out as much as we could. Partly because we already had some ideas on things to do, and partly because James was acting like a crazy loon. We had a combined dose of teething, with a side of lingering congestion and a bonus helping of the terrible twos...On Saturday, the nearby Atlas Theater was hosting the Intersections Festival, and we took advantage of some of the free and family-friendly programming. We met Grandpa and Glamma for a surprise visit right before an acrobatic performance, followed by lunch at the Star and Shamrock. Then in the early evening, James and I went back to see the flamenco dancers. James really liked being able to see the performers up close and he was fairly attentive. Then Sunday we took James to the Deanwood Rec Center pool. For the first time, he quickly warmed up to being in the water and was laughing and having a great time.
Did James dance at the Flamenco dance exhibition? Did Daddy shave his face?

Yes and yes! James was actually super cute last night as he tried to dance, stomp and twirl like the dancers as he watched the video. Unfortunately he refused to perform once the camera came out. And Daddy has been clean shaven for a couple of weeks now...since the end of the cleanse diet.
