At the Zoo

This weekend we had no plans!  After taking on a couple of babysitting opportunities through the co-op on Saturday we set out to enjoy our time, just the three of us, on Sunday.  We woke, ate breakfast, and made it to the zoo before 10:00 am.  The weather was supposed to be cloudy with a significant chance of rain, but it turned out to be a gorgeous, sunny day.  We made it from the bottom of the park to the top, and back again - stopping only briefly for snacks and lunch.  We got home in time for a marathon nap for all of us, and then some afternoon play on the back patio.  It was a refreshing day of fun; ready for another work week.

She's waiting for her breakfast...
James is still a hand holder...
Just like in Good Night Gorilla!
Playing in the panda area.
Climbing through the giant olive.
Helping Daddy grill in the rain.
James loves his new umbrella!

  1. This visit reminded me of when Mark, Sarah and I went to the Philadelphia zoo. The kids played on the bronze statues...great photo on the bronze elephant...and the turtles were 'in season'! : )
