 That's not what goes in the barrel!

On Saturday before Mother's Day, I opened my gifts from James and Mark:  2 iron trellises for my clematis and a big planter barrel for the back yard.

After James and I  stopped by the farmer's market and Mark went to his neighborhood meeting, the three of us hit up home depot for some new flowering plants to fill the barrel and some old window boxes.  As luck would have it, there was a small event at the Depot so James played in the moonbounce and at free hot dogs before we left for home.  (Stay tuned for a new video soon.) While James napped, we weeded and cleaned up in front and out back.  Then on Sunday, we cooked up a huge pot of beef stew and hosted an indoor/outdoor garden party with family and neighborhood friends.

It was such a sweet weekend; I'm so happy to have my boys!
